All children and young people have the right to access education opportunities so that they can develop to their full potential and achieve their dreams. However, for many children in Vietnam, particularly in more rural and remote communities, there are many barriers that hinder their access to this fundamental right.
We also believe in helping students who have left school for one reason of another with employment opportunities by sponsoring disadvantaged young people to attend vocational training courses. This will include opportunities for: young people currently within the juvenile detention system, disabled youth, and other at-risk young people.
As part of our goal to see that children within our focus areas have access to education opportunities, we seek to develop existing schools within targeted communities by: improving facilities offered to children; renovating classrooms or other important areas; providing necessary equipment and supplies.
